What's your nationality and visa status?

In addition to MPH80's questions, is your mother over the age of 65?

You aren't 'settled' in the UK - so she'll need to qualify for a visa in her own right - which means one of the tier visas.

If she qualifies - yes. Start here:

She'll need to pay the appropriate fees, show all the necessary finances etc and the 'post study' routes are much tougher than they were.

In a nutshell, there is no easy way for her to live here. Student route costs thousands of pounds per year, plus she really has to go and study. Its not possible to get admission in a micky mouse college on some mc donald course and stay in UK. Staying on student route will not guarantee a settled status in future.

She is not looking for settlement in future, but wants to stay for some time with me probably a year or two, is student route possible, is there any upper age limit for student visa.

The student route is possible and there isn't an upper limit, but as has been said:

1) It costs a fortune in tuition - she'll have to show she has the tuition fees and she'll have to pay it

2) She MUST go to the college - if she doesn't - they'll report it back to UKBA and her visa becomes invalid

3) She can only work 20 hours a week - which won't support her well.

If she breaks any of those rules - she can forget visiting again in the future.

Now - go read the link I gave you a few posts ago and come back with any questions once you've read that.
