My wife and I are in the process of applying for her spouse visa to join me in the UK - I am a UK resident from birth and she is an indian national in Oman.
I have so far provided her with the following evidence as her sponsor:
1. Cover letter detailing our relationship, engagement, marriage etc
2. Letter from my father inviting her to stay at the family home in the UK, plus: Evidence that he owns the home (land registry copy of title deed, utility bills in his name, council tax bill)
3. 6 months of my payslips
4. 6 months of my bank statements
5. Proof of employment from my workplace
6. Phone bills from the calling card account I use to remain in touch with her
7. Copies of flight itineraries for trips made to see each other
8. Copies of emails we have sent each other to keep in touch
9. Copy of P60's for the last three financial years
10. Copy of the wedding invitation
11. Photo's of the engagement, and from the wedding ceremony
12. Receipt for the engagement ring I purchased for her
13. Copy of my passport bio page (certified)
We have started the application and I have a few questions - first off, do I need to provide a sponsorship undertaking form? One of the starting pages on the application state:
Would this be for a wife, or just for extended family (parents, grandparents etc?)Sponsorship Undertaking Form (SU07)
If you are applying for settlement as the parent, grandparent or other dependant relative of someone in the UK, your sponsor needs to complete and sign the Sponsorship Undertaking Form (SU07), which can be found on the UK Border Agency website.
I'm not 100% sure it's required, and checking on other boards, it seems it's only for extended, but need to know if this is truly the case.
I'll leave this thread open until we complete the application - and I'll try and provide full updates of how it all goes as well until she's here and settled...
Thanks for any help provided - it's much appreciated =)
