CoA waiting times

Hi,

I put in my EEA4 application about 7 weeks ago, and still haven't had my CoA. I phone the enquiries line and they gave me a number for my manager to call which they said will let him do a legislation check on myself to make sure I can return to work.

However, it's been over 2 weeks since my manager filled out a form and started waiting for a reply. How long does this process usually take?

Also, I'm in need of having some form of ID i.e. my passport. I'm worried though that if I request that my passport be returned and they haven't had a chance to look at the important info inside of it, that my application will be rejected.

And my final question, can I recieve Job Seekers allowance during this time, and what do I need to claim that if I have no paper proof yet that my residency actually exists?
