Sponsership question from 3rd party for student spouse

Post by flyguy » Mon Jul 02, 2012 9:19 am

I have a general question for a person who is in the UK on a study visa, and she wants to bring her dependent spouse to the UK as well and will be sponsering him in what ever may be the standard way.

As i am a UK resident they have asked if i can submit a sponsership declaration (the type one gets made a Attorney or Solictor) to help make a stronger application. As i am a 3rd party to this i am wondering if my sponsership will help the case or would they not take that into consideration as the visa decision will be made on the basis of his wife's sponsership and not mine as i am a third party. My relationship to the students spouse is a family relation, am i wasting my money or would it help in anyway.

Any ideas?

You can play no part and anything you attempt to provide will be disregarded. The only requirements for this category are that the PBS migrant is studying at Level 7 with a HEI, and that the sponsor or the dependant has held the necessary funds for the required period.
