Travel on Indian Papport post citizenship ceremony

Post by parikhvishal » Mon Jul 02, 2012 3:35 pm

I have to travel out of UK for official visit in 1st week of August and I will be completing my citizenship oath on 18th July 2012. Can you please suggest if I can travel on my Indian passport and apply for british passport after coming back to UK by end of August.

Also is it possible to apply for British passport now while I am waiting for Citizenship ceremony. I have citizenship approval letter from home office.

Only a British citizen can apply for a British passport. And you will not be a British citizen until after the oath ceremony.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
