Got my British Passport without needing interview

Post by tbbcuk » Mon Jul 02, 2012 7:01 pm

I sent my passport application on 12/6/12 and I received my first British Citizen Passport today and they didn’t ask me for an interview!! My original nationality is British National Overseas, I obtained my Citizenship via registration.

I guess if you ‘registered’ as British Citizen then you don’t need passport interview?

BUT, I haven’t received my old passport and certificate, where are they??

They are delivered separately (2nd class post or DX delivery if you paid the extra £3).

Thank you Jambo, I did pay extra 3 pounds for DX delivery, should they not arrive at the same time??

Got 2 more questions hope you don't mind.

(1) Am I now not need landing card anymore when arrive UK?

(2) I can visit my home country for how many years I want in 1 stay and still able to return to the UK no problem??

They are being dispatched from two different locations so might have a few days difference.

1) No. And of course make use of the UK/EEA line.
2) You can leave and never come back and you still be British.
