If you need to travel, just ask for the passport back. It will not affect your application.

Location: does not matter if you are with your EEA family member

Ask for it NOW as it often takes several weeks.

With the CoA you should be able to enter the UK. The issue being a visa national is to board the flight. Having a visitor visa should be good enough as the airline would not know how many days you have been in the UK already (and it's irrelevant anyway as a family member of EEA national).

What type of new evidence you would like to add? You can write to the HO quoting your case ID from the CoA and your personal details so they can add it to your file.
