General PIO enquiry

Hello Experts,

I have applied for PIO (13 months minor) for my son in Birmingham last Friday (29/06). They said it will take upto 18 working days. We are travelling to India on August 6th I would like to know how long its taking these days to process the application. Could anyone let me know the time frames or threads would be very helpful.

If it takes longer than 18 dyas or couple of months iam thinking to apply for a visit visa just before our flying date..:(

I'm planning to apply for my son's (3week old) PIO once he gets his British Passport done.

I have struggled to find PIO timeline on this site as all posts related to PIO points back to Timeline of OCI. on HCL Site they says PIO takes 7 working days!! (or more in some cases).

Please do share experience with us if someone has gone through PIO route.

I applied for my son's PIO card at HCI London and it took 3 weeks.
