Switch Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General

Hi All

I was issued a Tier 2 ICT visa in Feb 2010 valid for two years (Feb 2012). After that my employer extending ICT Visa on further one year till Feb 2013.As per the new rule, I can able to switch Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General
while in the UK .

My question is If i change the Tier 2 general, does this break the continious period required for settlement?

You are allowed to switch in-country if you change sponsors and are assigned a CoS by your new employer/sponsor. The continuous period for ILR will not be broken by the switch
