The July 9 Changes and its effect.

Good morning moderators and regulars,

I am a spouse of a british citizen, I was issued a settlement visa in October 2010, and my spouse probationary period end october 2012, i will like to know if the new rule that starts on the 9th of july will affect my application for an indefinite leave to remain in october. or the new rule will only affects new applicants applying for a settlement visa.

Please i will appreciate a simple explanation and in plain simple words because this news has seriously got me dizzy and confused.
