Applying for a Polish work permit while already in Poland

Hello, I have worked as an English teacher in Poland this past year and I have again been offered a position to teach at the same school in the fall. I have all the necessary paper work to again apply for my work permit, but I do not plan to travel back to the US this summer. Can I apply for this work permit somewhere in Poland?
