Tier 1(General) to ILR

Post by b00gieman » Thu Jul 05, 2012 10:45 am

I am currently in my 4th year of Tier 1 (General) and my current Tier 1 visa is valid until the 27th October 2013.

I know I could apply for my Indefinite Leave to Remain when it expires because I would have been under the Tier 1(General) for 5 years.

But the situation is that I am deciding to take a year from now to work outside the UK for a year before returning to the UK. Will that cause me to lose my eligibility to apply for the ILR?
