PR decision due? But nothing yet?

Hi all

I applied for Permanent Residence via form EU3 in January 2012

Got a reply, that they will reach a decision before 9 July 12

My GNIB card also expires this day... Monday

So far nothing?

I emailed them, called, and even want to INIS by nobody there seems to know what to do

Any idea as to what else I can do?

The decision most likely will be issued on the due date, 9 July.

i got PR retention own rights last week i applied in dec 2011 but when my visa was expired on may but the dept send me 6 month visa to continue the legal Residence in country if the dept not send u letter write them to giv u 6 month extension.

i think you should visit gnib counter request them for 6 months temp visa.they might able to give you on counter.otherwise you have to write to the eu teaty section they will issue you a six month temp visa.good luck

I think it is very important that you inform them that you are now undocumented(After Monday) What happens if you get stopped by a guard while driving, etc legally you will have no right to be here. So it is only fair that they give you some kind of covering letter or else a temporary visa.

Do not just sit back and wait patiently hoping for something to happen

if everyone reads the post correctly, the applicant applied in januray and received tghe temp stamp 4 already... his permission expires on the same date when the decision is due... thus no further permission will be issued....
the decision will be issued next week, most likely on the date that the decision is due.

That's not correct. The right of residence in accordance with EC law is not dependent or conditional on the issuance of any document by Irish authorities.

No it doesn't. Family members of EU nationals do not require permission of any sort to reside in Ireland.

Just to close this off, they sent out me desision the day before, and I received it on the day my GNIB Card Expired

Was a little worried, but it all worked out.

I received 10 years residence card
