My wife applied for her spouse visa today, at the VFS facility in Nairobi.
All was fine, except that, for some reason, the staff seemed insistent on the minimum age for application being 21. (My wife is 20). The minimum age has been changed back to 18, as has been widely documented on this forum and the UKBA website.
My wife tells me that she had to sign something which said "I acknowledge that the minimum age for a Spouse Visa is 21" or words to that effect.
I hope that this doesn't cause us problems. I have emailed VFS Nairobi and the Uk High Commission in Nairobi, to basically b*llock them for their unacceptable ignorance.
Does anyone forsee any problems with this, or will the people at the UK High Commission be less brain-dead than those who work for VFS?
