Post by ali_ireland » Sat Jul 07, 2012 6:21 am

hi guys
juz got PR approved (retention own rights) last week i went to immigration to got stamp dy gave me 5 yrs visa becoz my passport expire in 5 years.i got EUFAM again. i have few questions.

1) i got approval with my own rights why i got EUFAM again not stamp 4?

2) whats the major difference b/w stamp 4 and EUFAM after own rights?

3) can i travel all Europe without visa becoz im divorced and my wife no longer than with me any more ?

4) in EUFAM (own rights) which family member i called frm bck home can i call my mother and brother for permanent Resistance in Ireland (not visit visa)?

plz clear my few confusion.

Hello. Using your numbering:

1. Because "Stamp 4 EUFam" is endorsed on the GNIB certificate of registration issued to those who have received from the INIS confirmation of their acquisition of the right of permanent residence according to EU law.

2. Auto-renewable, issued without fee, acts in lieu of an Irish re-entry visa.

3. No, you only have the right of visa-free entry to other EU member states if either travelling in the company of, or joining, an EU national of whom you are a family member.

4. There is no provision in Directive 2004/38/EC for a non-EU national family member of an EU national who has acquired the right of permanent residence to be joined by his own family members.

If you are a visa-required national, yes.
