i dont understand why they r not processing these applications there should be equality and there should not be any preference,we should go to court to sort this out.knapps wrote:All of us can guess that after marrying to EU national and 5 years of residency on EUfam4 card you would have applied.
Yes, to answer your question, I have not heard either. I sent mine in June 2011. There are some people who applied in aug, 2011 based on work permit already got one. So, for us no news
Congratulation knappsknapps wrote:Sent an email inquiry and got a response that a letter to invite me to the next ceremony on 30th of Aug has been issued:-))))
Anyone knows where is the ceremony????
I am sorry to hear thatknapps wrote:With the GREATEST REGRET the email they sent me was an error. Soon after they sent me another email giving the usual response ,under process' . Yes, it is under process for the last 6 months:-((((((
I was happy and then my happiness died.
I am not lying , I got a response from them again apologizing for the error.
Call the helpline and to hear the option Spouse of Irish, the only difference between EU and Irish spouse is the 5 years residency instead of 3 years but the process of the applications is the same "slow track" and most of the outstanding 09 and 10 applications are for those 2 categoriesBen wrote:There is no such thing as naturalisation based on marriage to an EU national.ks2010 wrote:Unfortunately Irish and EU spouse are in the low priority
Spouse of Irish national is a category, five years reckonable residence is a category. There is no such category as spouse of EU national.ks2010 wrote:Call the helpline and to hear the option Spouse of Irish, the only difference between EU and Irish spouse is the 5 years residency instead of 3 years but the process of the applications is the same "slow track" and most of the outstanding 09 and 10 applications are for those 2 categoriesBen wrote:There is no such thing as naturalisation based on marriage to an EU national.ks2010 wrote:Unfortunately Irish and EU spouse are in the low priority

If a person is applying under the five years reckonable residence category and is also married to an EU national, this is merely incidental.
