Tier 1 Extension - Marriage certificate

Tier 1 Extension - Marriage certificate

Hello,

Me and my wife both are now due to apply for our respective Tier 1 extensions (neither is dependent). I remember from our initial Tier 1 application in India, it was required to provide a marriage certificate if you are married, even if the partner is not applying as dependent. Is this applicable for extension as well?

Our worry is that our application dates are close this time and first one may not have received documents back so as to use our only marriage certificate :) in second's application.

Any thoughts?

You don't need to provide a marriage cert. for an immigration category that is not based on marriage. The form asks for you civil status but does not need you to provide certification of that status.
