Document for Self Employed.

Hi,

I have to go for Visa renewal in Sep,2012 and showing my self as Employed(from permanent job) and also Self Employed(as Sole Trader).I registered my self as self employed on March,2012 with hmrc .But due to some issue of wrong address entered by them etc I have not got any confirmation / welcome letter by them. After calling them they issued me the Tax return form for 2012-2013 with the UTR number on it.

So can anyone please let me know what are the documents required by Visa authority to show my self as Self Employed and to show earnings from it as proof of earnings for extension.

You need to show that you are paying calss 2 national insurance as a proof of self employment activity.

You can also call HMRC and ask them to send you the welcome letter at you new address.

However, the most authentic proof is payment of Class 2 national insurance.

Hi,

I am showing my part of earnings from permanent employment(40K) and another part from Self Employment(12k).

So in the form I have to select which select myself as Employed or Self employed or both ?

Both, as you are claiming income from both the sources.
