Ancestry visa dependent switch into Tier 2

Hi all,

Is it possible to switch from a dependency on an Ancestry visa into a Tier 2 visa at all? I have a job that would qualify for Tier 2 sponsorship (including the RLM test at the time it was advertised, 6 months ago) but started it under a dependency visa to my husband's ancestry. I'm an independent woman and would like to plan for any contingencies because this is my dream job, so would like to be able to change into the T2 so I can be under my own steam. I have previously been employed in the UK under a T2 visa; I generally qualify for it as well.

Thanks for any advice.
