Tier1 Extension - Final Checklist, please review

Post by ekta » Wed Jul 11, 2012 10:35 pm

Dear All

I am applying for tier 1 extension with my spouse application by post and sending following documents, please can you review and advise if these are ok?

Main Applicant
a) tier 1 general form version 04/12
b) Self Assessment Summary
c) one Cheque for £2250 (1500 + 750)
d) 2 Photos with name/Dob written on back
e) Age - Passport
f) Earnings - Payslips and bank statements
for period April 2011 to March 2012 (11 months)
Do I need to explain why I am including 11 months out of 15? and not recent 12 months? Please advise.
Reason I am claiming for 11 months is - I was in permanent job for this period (April 2011 - March 2012) and now working as contractor so just to keep my case simple I am claiming 11 months which gives me sufficient points for extension.
g) Degree - Original Master Degree
h) English Language - Nothing as points already claimed with initial application. (Degree on assessment tool gives 10 points for english)
i) Maintenance - Last 3 months bank statements with minimum balance more than 1500 pounds

Dependent Documents -
a) Passport
b) Dependent form version 06/2012
c) two photos with name/dob written on back
d) Marriage certificate

I'll really appreciate your help. Please comment.

Many Thanks
Ekta

Looks OK

If you need to be registered in police, take the certificate.

It's also a good idea to produce a letter from employer - gives case worker additional confidence, and P60 - just in case.

No need to send educational documents for the 2nd time

Thanks Andrey for the response. I am not registered with the police so no certificate, is this really required?

I am not in same permanent jon so can't get employer letter, will this be ok to have only pay slips and bank statements for 11 months (Apr11-Mar12) for earnings?

Seniors, please advise & help.

police certificate is needed for certain nationalities, Indians do not need it.

employers letter is not necessary if you have payslips (stamped and signed in case they are not company letter head or e-copy)

about 11 months you do not need to clarify why you are using only 11 months but explaining that you are using so and so 11 months for earning period in cover letter will be a good idea but that is also not necessary.
