How long ll it take to decide on cancellation of Tier 2 Visa

Dear All,

I am currently working in UK on Tier2(ICT) visa which is valid till Feb 2013.
I have resigned my job and my last working day will be 31st of July.

Can anyone please tell me how many working days it might take at UKBA to decide the cancellation of my Visa?

I understand that I can stay upto 28 days in UK after resignation. I am just wondering if I can have a Europe trip at this time and come back to UK and leave UK with in 28 days. Is it legally okay to re enter the country within this time.

Please advise me!

Once your employer reports to UKBA that you ceased working for them (which they are obliged to do as part of their sponsor duties) your visa will be curtailed. You will be given 60 days from the time UKBA make their decision to curtail, not from the time you stop working, i.e. you will have 60+ days.
