I have come across this news in UKBA website. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... verstayers. I am slightly confused with the wording of UKBA. Does this mean 1. From Oct 1, 2012 who are over staying more than 28 days? or 2. For who already over stayed more than 28 days but applying after Oct 1, 2012?

From 1 October 2012 if you have overstayed your leave by more than 28 days any application for further leave will be refused. This change in the Immigration Rules will affect applicants applying for further leave under:
