ILR Payment by debit / credit card

Post by fg2012 » Sat Jul 14, 2012 11:51 am

Hi all,

My premium appointment at Croydon PEO is coming up shortly and have a query regarding payment using debit or credit card.

I use form SET(O) and have one dependant so my total fee would be £2066. I called my bank (HSBC) and informed them of the imminent payment, however they said that any payments below 22K should go through normally and if it doesn't, they asked me to give them a call.

Can you please share your experiences? Has anyone had an issue where the payment was blocked? If that happens I will have to call the bank and request them to release the payment -- not sure how long will this take although the bank informed me that they would release it immediately.

Thanks,
Fej

Better to ask HSBC to add a note to their system in advance (most banks can keep an advance transaction not for 24-48 hours in the system).
So that will make sure not rejection by the system

Thanks. I did speak to HSBC again and they told me that they don't have any means to make a note in their system to notify the fraud department of any advance transactions. I have a credit card with another company and managed to get them to make a note in their system. So, if my debit card transaction fails I can always use my credit card.
