Hello everybody!
I would very much appreciate if somebody helped me to clarify two issues regarding EEA 4 application. I (EU citizen) already have my PR, we're using EEA 4 to apply for my husband's (non-EU) PR.
1. I understand that since I already have my blue PR card and I received it less than 2 years ago, I don't have to send any documents proving that I've been residing in the UK. Is that correct? It is stated on the application: "If your EEA national family member has a Document certifying permanent residence: proof that they have not been absent from the UK for more than 2 consecutive years since they gained the right of permanent residence. This can include tenancy agreements, utility bills and bank statements".
2. I'm also confused in regards to CSI. It says on the EEA 4 applicaiton:
"As evidence of comprehensive sickness insurance:
You must provide either a private comprehensive sickness insurance policy document that covered for medical treatment in the majority of circumstances, or a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) that covered the 5-year period of residence in the UK".
Do I have to provide evidence of CSI or my husband? I was convinced that non-EU spouses of EU national are treated as 'dependent' on their EU spouses and therefore if the EU spouse works, the non-EU is automatically covered. I'm worried as my husband got the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) a year after we got married therefore it does not cover the 5-year period of his residence in the UK.
Thank you in advance for any comment/advice.
