Tier 1 - extension advise required

Post by Pksingh » Sun Jul 15, 2012 12:18 pm

Hi,
I have tier 1 general visa extension due on 29th sept 2012.

I moved to uk in ONLY last December 2011. I am falling short of 5 points in earnings section.

I am calculating my earnings since December 2011 ( 9 months including sept 2012) and it's falling short of the bracket of 40,000 (25 points ) by only £1195/-

Could you advise me on ,

> how to get this amount ( my current company cannot help in this) ?

> can I show some self earnings as weekend tuition on a self pay slip or do I have to register for a company?

> can I include my earning of October 2011 in India as there was a gap of one month ( November 2011) before I started my work in UK?

Thank you

You can use your overseas earnings if it falls within the 12 months consecutive period
You can show self-earnings by registering your own company.
I would advise reading Tier 1 Guidance Notes

> I already had a offer letter when I entered UK BUT, no body can stop you even if you do not have a offer, many of my friends came here without job.

Question:

> As my Tier 1 general visa extention is due on 29th Sept 2012, Can I include my earnings of September 2012 in the application ?

> Can I apply for a in person same day application on 28th Sept 2012 and still include the sept 2012 months salary ?

[ I will fall short if I do not include Sept 2012 salary]

Thanks,

You can count the earnings for the period oct 2011 to sep 2012 and include your Oct 2011 earnings from India with direct conversion and without uplift.

For sep 2012 earnings, depends when you are paid for the month and if you will have the payslip for sep 2012 and the amount reflected in the bank statement before 28th sep 2012 and both documents(originals or stamped/signed) available with you

If everything as mentioned by other users above does not work out, then I would advise you to get registered as self employed, find some one in your friends circle who operates through a limited company and ask them to pay out the shortfall.

Produce a supporting invoice and bank account for that entry. Hire an accountant and ask them to second that earning on their letter head. Attach this along with bank statements, invoice with your other "salaried" documents, you'll be fine

Please suggest if ..

1>> I can include the amount in my pay slip listed as " relocation allowance" in my earnings.
for example Pay slip looks like :
Basic Pay : 1000
Relocation allowance : 200
Total gross pay : 1200
tax : 304
Payment in : 896

So can I include this amount in my earnings as 1200/-

2>> Is is ok to get a visa appointment from someone and then go for a in person same day application. He said the appointment will be in my name. [how can I verify the appointment and make sure its geniune]

Thanks
