Need a good immigration solicitor

Hi all,
I am reaching to the time of applying permenant residence as my work permit visa expires in 10 October 2012. I have been here five years and never been aborad, so I thought it should be a easy case, but then comes this SOC code really confused me. I need someone one who really knows the law and home office visa procedures to advise me about how to apply this, cos I am holding the old work permit that doesn't really have the the SOC code, and as a project manager in translation company, I can't find any one match to my job descrption, so I don't really know how this whole thing work, futher problem arises when I am calling around immigration ssolicitors for help, different people tells me different stories, which makes me really confused. so just wondering if any one knows good immigration solicitors I can turn to.
