earning period vs bank statement closing date

Post by fei503 » Wed Jul 18, 2012 10:37 am

Dear members,

To apply for tier 1 extension (tomorrow at Croydon), I am claiming points for the past 12 months' salary income, i.e. 01/07/2011- 30/06/2012. My latest Natwest bank statement closes at 29/06/2012, which is the last working day of June. I presume this is fine as my salary was credited on 29/06/2012 and appeared on the statement. however, is the missing day (30/06/2012) going to cause any issue? or is it safer to change the earning period to 30/06/2011 - 29/06/2012?

Also for maintenance fund, will the case worker count 90 days backward from the closing date of the bank statement? I'd think the 29/06/2012 closing date is ok as long as it is no more than one month prior to the application date?

Thank you for all your help and will share my experience tomorrow.

It doesnt matter. Your bank statements doesn't have to be for full months. Its the period of your pay which needs to be full. This should be fine.

Also for maintenance fund, will the case worker count 90 days backward from the closing date of the bank statement? I'd think the 29/06/2012 closing date is ok as long as it is no more than one month prior to the application date?

Your last statement for maintenance fund can be anything within past 1 month so you should be fine here too. Just relax and good luck with your application.
