Claiming points for earned leaves and joining bonus earnings

Post by ask.tier1 » Wed Jul 18, 2012 11:35 am

Dear Members,
I am going to apply for my Tier 1 (General) extension.

I had changed my job during the 12 months earnings window for which I am going claim points.

During the separation from old company I have received holiday pay (for the earned annual leaves) which appears as taxable income on my payslip.
After joining new company, as per the contract I have received initial joining bonus which also appears on my payslip.

I am currently falling short of few thousands which can be covered with above two earnings.

Can I claim points for both the earnings?
1. Holiday pay during the separation
2. Joining bonus for joining new organization

Thanks for your guidance.

Yes to both as long as they are taxed.
