Tier 1 Extension - Banker's Draft

Post by cipher » Wed Jul 18, 2012 1:21 pm

Hello,

I am applying for my Tier 1 Visa Extension (General) and seeing that postal orders are too much hassle, I have opted to pay using a Banker's Draft. I do not want to use a card because I had a really bad experience with my Tier 1 General application as the bank refused UKBA's attempt to collect the fees because it was 'suspicious' even though I had alerted the bank 2 weeks before the attempt was made.

I have a few questions about the banker's draft. As I am making a postal application, am I, first off allowed to pay with a banker's draft? On the UKBA's page it doesn't seem to list Banker's Draft as an acceptable means of payment for postal applications ( http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... eral/cost/ ).

Secondly, who do I address the draft to? Is it simply 'Home Office' ?

I would appreciate any speedy advice as I am due to send in my application in the next 2 days.

Regards

Alex

You need to refer to questions A6 and A7 on the application form.
