Tier 1 Dependents Visa Extension in India.

Post by babu_ssn » Thu Jul 19, 2012 12:14 am

Hello Friends,

I need a clarification on tier 1 dependent visa extension.
Recently i got my Tier 1(Gen) visa extension on July 2012(Actualy my visa is valid till Dec 2012 but i applied early and got my extnesion). My wife and son are with me till last march on dependents visa and now my wife is in india for delivery and needs to go for an extension along with my son and new born baby in next 2 months.During the time of extension of my wife and kids I will be in UK and my family will be in india. Actually their visa validity is there till Dec 2012.

my questions are

1. can my dependents(Wife&Son) visa extension can be applied in india(Apart from new born baby-need to apply fresh visa)?
or do they need to come back to UK and apply for an extension.

2.If Yes, like in UK do we get Bio Metric Card in India?

3.If extn can be applied in india. will it be considered as extnesion or fresh visa. (My dependents will apply for extn before visa expiry date)

I really appreciate your valuable answers from the experts.

They can't extend outside the UK. If they apply from India their applications will be fresh applications which, in the case of your wife, means she will begin a period of leave that will take another five years to be granted ILR.
