ILR cohabitation - names

Post by MWill » Thu Jul 19, 2012 10:58 am

Hi, just a question about the names on the cohabitation documents for SET M - I'm sure it's not a problem but wanted to make sure!

My wife has a surname which has an extra capital in it, like McDonald (it's not a "Mc" name, but you get the idea). It appears on documents in various ways - US passports have it (say) "MC DONALD", and the documents we've collected for ILR have it either as "MCDONALD" or "Mcdonald". This is what happens when places like the NHS ask you to register your name in block capitals!

My wife's convinced it's not a problem and I think it's probably OK too, as it's clearly her name, but there's always a nagging doubt!

As you say, it's clearly her name, so there won't be a problem.

Thank you! The only one I think is like that (all lower case) is a letter from the NHS, but that letter also has her date of birth on it, so it's clearly her.
