EEA questions about uk and ireland

My questions are as followed

Since of july 2012 has there been changes to EEA visa for uk
One i read was you must have 18,600 pounds in your bank account or salary for the year

And does it really take up and over 6 months to get you applaction approved

Second question

Can anybody share information about irish EEA visa
As i cant find much infor about it

I am from northren ireland. And i have both passports irish and british

Thank you to anybody who can help me out with better understanding

If your non-eea national now applies to live and work in UK, then they will have to meet the requirement of UK immigration rules.
In the past they could have relied on your irish nationality and gained residence under eea regs, but not anymore.

Thanks for posting.

It is very unclear that the new UKBA law is legal. You should feel very free to challenge it! Apply, get refused, and then appeal.

Where is your family member?

Have you always lived in NI? Have you done that primarily as an Irish person or as a British person?

Hey

My family member is from phillphines
She lived in uk before for 3 years over stayed and was deported

I havnt applied yet , was wondering what was best option , i live in northren ireland,

Where is she presently?

Have you always lived in NI?

Have you primarily used your British passport or your Irish passport?

Yes she my wife and i was using birish passport for last 10 years now getting am irish one

I lived mostly ni

If you are just getting your Irish passport now, then you are not likely to be in a position to challenge the new UK rules.

Have you considered living in Ireland together? You could then either work there, or commute to Belfast (or wherever your existing job is).
