software developer tier 1 psw to tier 2 general

Hi All,
Currently I'm working as a software developer (.NET with C#) and my PSW visa about to expire Feb 2014. Can I apply Tier 2 General visa after that.. If so what the the requirement do I need (Like do I need to show minimum salary range ).

If I can't apply tier 2 general, is there any other visa category that I can apply..
