Overstayer from Bangladesh

Post by hummy » Fri Jul 20, 2012 4:34 pm

I am writing this post on behalf of another person who would like to know what to do. They basically came to the uk about 6 years ago having got married to a british citizen in Bangladesh. They originally came to the uk on a 2 year spouse visa. Since that has expired it was never renewed or IDLR applied for. So both the passport and visa have expired.
The husband has just been very lazy and never really bothered to get the necessary visas changed. But now the wife needs to go back to bangladesh for some personal matters and so the need to sort out visas has been made mroe urgent. Added to that the couple also have a young child born in this country.

What is the best way to move forward to sort out visa to remain in this country and how best can it be approached.

Thanks

They need to speak with a legal professional.
