Lost Job: Should wife remain on Tier 2 Dep visa or apply FLR

Post by ct_London » Fri Jul 20, 2012 4:35 pm

Hi,

I got married 8 months ago and my wife came here as a dependent on my Tier 2 (gen) visa. About 3 months later i successfully applied and got my ILR. We didnt apply for the my wife's FLR at that time as her leave to remain was valid for more than 18 months.

However i have recently lost my job and my employer will be notifying the UKBA about it soon.

Will my wife's Tier 2 dependent visa be still valid?
Should she apply for an FLR immediately or can she apply for it once her leave to remain expires?

Regards
CT

Why would your employer inform UKBA when you now have ILR?
