Unsuccessful Applications - Waiting period to reapply?

Post by dawnleipold » Sat Jul 21, 2012 7:39 pm

Hello!

If I apply for FLR(M) but am not successful, is there a 'waiting period' before any other applications/renewals can be made?

I'm currently on a Tier 2 visa which is due for renewal in October. I'm confident my company will renew the COS so I could stay on the Tier 2 - however I feel more comfortable in this financial climate to move to the FLR(M).

I just want to make sure if I apply and am not successful (my partner is self-employed and a director and its causing problems with documentation!) that I can just rely on my company to renew the Tier 2 COS. Therefore, the renewal application would need to be done in the next month or so.

Thanks for your help!
Dawn

well, the new rules are so clear cut that you can easily work out if you will meet the financial requirement or not. If you are sure you will not meet the financial requirement then you application is bound to fail.
Why waste money?

Unfortunately I submitted my online application and payment prior to the changes to the FLR(M) route being announced/put in place. My PEO wasn't until last Friday, where I was told that the 'date of submission' is the date of the PEO - not the date I submitted online.

Therefore, I submitted my original application under the old rules but now must be assessed under the new rules. I've spent the last two days reading everything I can, trying to get my head around the new rules, and I SHOULD qualify when I return for my rescheduled appointment Tuesday. However I'm realistic/pessimistic - I know there's always a chance that something could go wrong, especially with my lack of preparation time. However I've already paid so I may as well try.

There is a chance of something going wrong, if you do something which does not meet the requirement. There is very clear rules and guidance as to what exactly is required, and if you have that, then you are fine.
