School Fees in India for foreign nationals

Post by samrat_g » Mon Jul 23, 2012 7:50 pm

Hi All,

I have a setllement visa(ILR) in the UK. By the end of this year I will be eligible to apply for British Citizenship. After that my son will be eligible to get the citizenship. Like many others, I am planning to spend few years in India before coming back to the UK. My wife want to persue her study in India and that is why we are planning to move. My wife will keep her Indian Passport.

We are still not clear about our future plans but if we really go back to India with OCI, do we really have to pay high NRI fees for my son. Are there any disadvantages living in India with OCI card other than paying high NRI fees.

Can anyone give me some idea about fees structure for foriegn nationals in India. I know it will depend on individual schools and states but some rough idea will be of great help.

Also for me, is there any problem living in India with OCI card? Any real life experience?

Thanks
