Hi,
I did apply for my visa via PEO Croydon for T1 General, on 17.7.12, as the IT systems were not working they took my application and said they will post my application with an out come. As I did receive a letter from Croydon home office stating that my applicationunder futher investigation/queries and have to investigate. Any idea how long will the decision take? and what might be the reason? As the letter is a general format stating that they will get back to me as soon as possible and please do not contact, the letter was dated 19.7.12 just two days after my visit to PEO office they did post it but because of the royal mail it took the letter to reach me till Monday. I am a bit worried and wanted to know if any one has experienced with this situation?
Looking forward to hear form you.
thank you.

As I said nobody can tell you what happened...Have you received any letter from UKBA citing the reason of this. As in what areas need to be investigated further by any chance..

is your employed or self-employed?
if self-employed then they might want to check everything

I am employed but I have two employers in the past 12 months along with different pay slips.
There is no mention about the reason for the query but its a general letter which goes out for everybody with out any specifics.

welcome to the club kumaraxl.
I was handed the letter at the PEO itself saying further enquiries have to be done.
I had my appointment on 28 June. Its been over a month waiting for any response.
No phone call, no letters, just a long wait..
I have read on this board, that we fall in the 10% of the applications which go through this..
Just keep in touch. There are a few more like us on this board, and we'd like to hear from you as soon as you get any response.

Hi all,
Those of you who are facing the same problem, Its a shame we paid full price but have to wiat like Postal appilications, also we had to be in this group - as if there were any issues then we should have been told on the same day rather than waiting for "x" number of days and then know what the problem is???
As of today 2.8.12 I have not had any response from Home Office.
Let us know if there is anyone who had any response back.

My dependents haven't even received any acknowledgment or biometric letter but yes the home office did not forget to deposit the cheque in the bank. I'm feeling like trapped in a net and have to wait indefinitely for rescue.

Did you provide all the relevant documents??
Is there any traffic violence or three points penalty which you did not describe in form ??

Hi,
Just a related query.. under above circumstance where we are still awaiting response from UKBA, what if we do not get response even until the expriry date of the current visa validity ? If I overstay beyond the expiry state awaiting for decision, will that be legal under the give circumstances ?

An update:
I just received my BRP card today. I haven't received my passport and the documents, but I suppose they should be arriving separately.
I think it was just waiting for the Olympics to end.
Good luck to you guys.
