Hello,
I would be very gratefull if someone could clarify what should we do regarding filling of the application form.
this is our situation in a nutshell:
we are EEC citizen of AA8
arrived in UK in Jul 2004, WRS received the same year
have been issued with the Residence Card in 2009 (the blue insert) that confirms our british resident status since 2004
have been away of UK for a year after received PermRes (we havent broken the residence status by that) so the total number of absences in the last 6 years is more than 450 days (about 590 but have read that when are residing in UK for more than 7 years this coul be disregarded)
now in 2012 we would like to apply for naturalisation
My questions are:
1. having the PermRes card (iss 2009) do I have to prove the addresses in the last 5 years, meaning 2006-2012 (to remind we have been away of UK in 2009/10 for a year and have an abroad address for that time, do I put it if so )or could we use the UK's correspondence address we left with ouf friends for that time?
2. similar question regarding the absences from UK: do I fill only last year absences (since Res Card proves us exercising Treaty rights) or the last 5 years period (2006-2012) anyway?
would appreciate any responses as are worried that may fail the application
Kind regards and thanks for help
