As far I know, you should have your Passport and Visa to enter into UK. Normally these are the documents they ask for.!

I could not understand , " Going for settlement Visa "...?

keep your tb certificate in hand luggage, many applicants put their whole application in their hand luggage which does seem a bit of overkill.

Also remember details of your spouse, uk address will stay at, who is coming to meet you etc.

The Immigration officer is entitled to refuse entry if he suspects anything.

They want to ensure they are letting in the correct/ valid visa holder.

Hi,
I came from Indian and I had only Passport, Visa and Tickets. nothing more than that. That is the reason, I asked from where you are coming. There may be different requirement from different country.
