hello friends, I am applying for Tier 1 renewal and have a query on salary for contactor under umbrella companies. In my salary slips there are two heading.. one is Gross amount ..(number of days x daily rate) and other is Gross Pay for tax.(Gross Amount - Pension Contribution-Expenses-Employers NI) .. could someone pls advise which one would be applicable towards salary computation?

It's the total gross pay, I.e. what you have referred to as gross amount. In other words it's your income before the pension & expense deductions.
