Tire-1 Extension- Home Office Reference Number

Post by Tire1Questions » Tue Jul 24, 2012 11:55 pm

Hi there,
I am filling my Extension application form. On Section 2, at B11 it asks for Home office Reference Number (if known). I do not remember if I received any letter along with my Tire-1 visa (when I applied from India), and even if they would have given me any letter, I must have thrown it away (as it did not say to keep it safe!) .

Where can I get this Home Office Reference Number?

on B14, it asks for Point Based System Migration Rerence Number? Where can I get these from?

Please help.

It says IF KNOWN. If you don't know it since you don't have your approval letter, you can just leave it blank. Reference numbers just speeds up the process of case worker to get your details out. But they are not end of the world and hence they are optional questions and not mandatory.

But for future, it would be wise to keep such letter safe, even if it doesn't say so since it can always come in handy for further extensions.

Thank you very much longshift for your speedy reply.

As it helps the CW, I would love to have my visa issued on the same day, I will try to ring Home Office first thing in morning and ask them if they would know it.

I will let you know all- who knows how many people are there like me!
