new rules: extension or settlement?

Post by ban » Wed Jul 25, 2012 11:06 pm

I asked a question here before but my post was not taken serious.
Again I'm making another post to see if anyone who help me.

As we all know the new rules has been set.
I've lived here in London since 2000 so I've stayed here for over 10 yrs.

My status is Article 3 & 8, I have a limited right to remain is for Under Discretionary Leave (for private life).

I spoke to some solicitor and he said I need to apply for an extension leave for another 2 years. Telling me I need to live in the UK legally for 3 yrs since the rules will change.

Now another soli said my Leave doesn't lead to 3yrs but I need to wait 6yrs and I need to apply on the same discretionary again.

But my question is.
should I apply with FLR (O) or HPDL?

thank you

further to add, i can't even find the documents required for extended stay FLR (o):/
