Calculating Days Absent

Post by zee313 » Thu Jul 26, 2012 1:11 pm

Dear All, Im sorry if this sounds like a silly question but just need to be sure.
Based on the 3 year marriage to a bc, Im set so put my application for Naturalization on the 9th Aug
So that being the case i take it i need to have been in the uk on the 9th aug 2009. Confirm?
When calculating my absent days for example
Year 1 would be 9th Aug 2009 - 8th Aug 2010
Year 2 9th Aug 2010 - 8th august 2011
Year 3 9 th Aug 2011 - 9th Aug 2012

Is this format correct?

Lastly if i was away for a period that was both during the end of year 1 and into the beggining of year 2, how would i seperate the days between the 2 year, i hope i come across clear?

Thanks alot in advance

The number of days of absence that falls in year 1 as per your table above will count towards Year 1, and the remaining will count towards year 2
Thanks alot in advance
As far as I know, you need to consider either only the day of leaving or the day of returning as absent. This might help you.
