Indian Passport Renewal process at HCI, UK

Hello Friends,

Hope you are all doing good. My wife passport is getting expired in next 6 months, please could anyone let me know what would be the process and documentation required in detail?

She is on Tier 1(Dependent) and would be due for extension in Mar-13

I've gone through the HCI website, but couldn't find the complete info.

I'm just confusing on the documentation part. Please can some one tell me what are the documents required for Indian Passport renewal?

Planning to apply through Post and also would like to have spouse entry on her passport.

Hi Friends,

Finally I got some idea on list of documents required to apply for Indian Passport Renewal through Post. Please can some one confirm the below documentation and suggest if anything required in additional or not required?


Enclosed Documents:
1) Application Form completely filled in and signed
2) 4 Passport size (35 mm x 45 mm) identical photographs showing frontal view of full face with white background.
3) Original Passport, having valid visa
4) Postal Order in favor of “High Commission of India, London” -36 GBP jumbo (60 pages) passport
5) Self Attested Photocopies of all the non-blank pages of my Passport
6) Self Attested Photocopies of Indian Driving License and PAN Card
7) Self Attested Photocopy of UK Address Proof
A pre-paid (Recorded Delivery/ Registered Post) self-addressed envelope
9) Self Attested photocopies of Marriage Certificate (To have Spouse Name on my new passport)
10) Photocopies of my husband’s Passport and Visa, in case if required.

Could you please let me know if you have applied for the passport via post and if yes how much time it took to get ur new passport?
