ILR Absences- Employer Creating Problems in Issuing letter

Post by jagcv4 » Fri Jul 27, 2012 3:20 pm

Hello all

I am planning to apply for ILR next month and my total absences in the five year period is coming up to 202 days. I spent a total of 35 days for business and rest personal. None of the absences were over 90 days per annum.

I have contacted my old employer to issue the letter but they are refusing on grounds that it seems the Home Office has to contact them on seeking information regarding me.

This is very ridiculous and I don't know the alternative to this. I have all payslips etc. I also have sample emails which show that I have been working abroad etc.

Can anybody please help? Early response will be greatly appreciated. Please advice alternative methods to get around this. I am attending Home Office in person

Thanks
