Would I qualify for ILR? =)

Post by MNChung » Sat Jul 28, 2012 2:00 pm

Dear all,
First, I thank you everyone who is helping a lot of people getting their visa. What you guys are doing is amazing.

I am currently on Tier 1 - HSMP visa, which I originally got on April 2008. It was extended after two years, and this three years extension expires on April 2013 (I know it might be a bit early to think about this but I like preparing in advance :D ) I looked at the application form and it seems a bit confusing to me hence, your help would be appreciated a lot :wink:

In regards to point,
* I have bachelor degree which point was accepted,
* My earning including bonus will be little over £35,000
* Age is 31/32

(I understand balance maintenance is not required)

With this, if I provide :
* Cover letter
* Completed application form
* Photo
* Proof of earning (eg. 12 months payslips, 12 months bank statement, letter form employer)
* And of course, the payment... :cry:

With this, would it be ok?

I really appreciate your advises in advance.

You also need to write about absences and arrival date to assess the case!

Thanks! - shouldn't forget it, should I? =)

What about the point? I should be ok, shouldn't I? It's a little confusing because according to the application form only, it doesn't look like I have enough points, but according a link from one of the previous notes on someone else's post, it seems like I do qualify... :)

Please kindly advise!

Mike

if you are worried about point I think you will score enough point to qualify.

Things to note

You first applied in 2008 therefore you are bind by the rules in place before April 2010. You will use the first earning criteria on page 19 of Form Set (O)
You are under the rules before april 2010 so you will only need 75 point min to qualify.

Past earning: your earning is above 35k which should score you 35 point
Qualification: a degree should score you 30points
UK experience: if your work experience of your earning is within UK then you should score 5point
Age: as you have stated your age is 31/32. The point you scored when you first apply is the same point you will score in age. If you are 31/32 now I guess you scored 10 points min when you first applied.

In total from above you should score 80 points

As stated above by Srieuk you will need to look at your absences …
