Married to an Italian you can have the italian citizenship based on the following criteria.
1. if you are married to an Italian, you can apply for italian citizenship
after 2 years of marriage and and the process will then take another
730 days. But if you have a child or adopt a child, then you can apply
after a yea. This is for those resident in Italy. ANd you submit the
application for citizenship at the prefetura where you reside
2. Ifyou are married to an italian and you live outside of italy, you can
apply for italian citizenhip after 3 years of marriage. And if you have a
child then it will be 2 years after the wedding and the process will take
should be concluded with 730 days. And you submit your application
at the Narest italian consulate where you reside.
