Hi

Is there a time limit to get a visa for child born in UK. I am on tier 1 visa
i can apply for ILR in 18 months, my daughter is now 4 months old. how late can I apply for her visa. if i dont have any intension of travelling abroad can I include my daughter directly
for ILR when i apply. can anyone give some advice please.

Yes, If you don't have any intention to travel from outside UK with your little one. You can directly include her in ILR. even if you don't apply for her ILR, can apply for her citizenship directly after getting your ILR.

Thanks for ure quick response.. i have read in one forum there is a time limit.basically we need to apply for the visa for the child within in 2 years..is this true?? however coudnt find anything like that mentioned in UKBA site. just wanted to confirm this.

Once you get your ILR(u and your spouse only), you can apply for yours child's British citizenship.

See FAQ .. Q29, 30, 31, 32.
