Swtiching from Tier 1 (PSW) To Tier 2 Dependant

Post by NSJ9 » Mon Jul 30, 2012 3:48 pm

Hello,

I'm in a fix here, and need your help.

I'm currently on a Tier 1 (PSW) until Jan next year. I have a job, but my employer isn't a sponsorer. Hence, the only option I have is to apply for a dependant visa (my husband has a tier 2 general sponsored by his employer).

Some sources suggest that I have to go back to my home country to apply for the dependant visa, despite living here.
But I see a section in the UKBA website which makes me think I dont have to go back.
"If your dependants are applying from inside the UK"
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... /applying/

Do any of you have any thoughts on this?
Appreciate your help.
